Yes

When someone says yes, it means a world to the other,

A yes to giving your time, your life or a part of your world to the other.

The other may be some one’s parent, partner, sister or brother,

Or, perhaps, someone less dearer –

A tired soul around the corner,

Who needed the time, the touch or just the ear?

To be able to say yes is the first step,

Of a larger commitment and even larger faith.

A yes is not just the opposite of no,

But it speaks a lot right from the word go.

It opens the doors and the windows too,

To allow the freshness to enter with a very different view.
